POLNORIS Call for Proposals is Now Open

The POLNORIS call under the Applied Research and Innovation Programme (EEA Grants 2021–2028) is now open. The programme is funded by the EEA and Norway Grants and managed by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) in cooperation with the Research Council of Norway (RCN) and the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannís).

POLNORIS supports applied research and experimental development projects carried out by Polish organisations in partnership with research institutions from Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein.

Key information:

  • Application deadline: 17 December 2026, 15:00 CET
  • Project duration: up to 36 months
  • Grant value: EUR 1,000,000–1,750,000
  • Funding rate: up to 100% for research organisations.

Priority areas:

Projects must contribute to at least one of the EEA Grants priorities:

  • Green transition,
  • Democracy, rule of law and human rights,
  • Social inclusion and resilience.

The call particularly encourages interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration, knowledge valorisation, Open Science practices, gender equality, and the involvement of early-stage researchers in project leadership. Applications must be submitted in English through the NCBR online system by the Polish project leader on behalf of the consortium.
