The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) will announce the MAPS call for proposals in the first quarter of 2024. Polish scientists will be able to apply for funding for research projects carried out in cooperation with partners from Switzerland, as well as from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Romania.
The MAPS program promotes the circulation of scientific knowledge and is part of the second Swiss financial support for selected European Union member states. The program operator is the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), acting in cooperation with organizations financing research in partner countries. The application is submitted to SNSF by the Swiss partner via the mySNF electronic system. Polish applicants are not required to submit a separate application in the OSF system. Details regarding the substantive and financial aspects of the Polish part of the project are completed by the leader of the Swiss team in the mySNF system.
The project manager on the Polish side must meet the following criteria:
- at least 4 years have passed since the principal investigator obtained his doctoral degree until the deadline for submitting applications;
- the project manager is an independent researcher and may lead a research team;
- the project manager must be employed under an employment contract in an institution meeting the competition conditions throughout the entire project implementation period and have access to appropriate research infrastructure.
An enterprise cannot be an applicant in the competition.
The competition will start in the first quarter of 2024.
