On April 10, 2024, the opening conference for the upcoming Swiss-Polish Research and Innovation Program will be held in Warsaw. The objective of the programme is to further strengthen the research excellence and innovation capacities of Polish research organizations, universities and enterprises (with an emphasis on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises as engines of innovation and job creation) by facilitating the research and innovation cooperation with the Swiss and international partners. The programme will also strengthen the relations of Polish research and innovation community with leading research and development entities in Europe and the internationalization of research.
The funds from the Research and Innovation Programme will be availible to:
- universities,
- research institutes,
- other entities conducting research and employing researchers,
- entrepreneurs (with an emphasis on micro, small and medium-sized enterpises),
- scientists.
The programme budget is 41,176 million Swiss francs, including:
- 35 million – Swiss contribution,
- 6,176 million – Polish contribution.
Two calls for proposals have been planned for applied research, the first of which is planned for in April 2024, second in 2025. In the field of basic research, one call for proposals is planned for the first quarter of 2024.
