Overview

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding organization for research and innovation between nationally funded research activities. COST Actions are bottom-up networks with a duration of four years that boost research, innovation, and careers. COST creates scientific networks and enables scientists to collaborate in a wide spectrum of activities in research and technology. COST Actions consist of basic and pre-competitive research and do not fund research itself but provide a platform for European scientists to cooperate on a particular project and exchange expertise. These projects are called “Actions”.
