LIDER UP is a new edition of the LIDER Programme designed to strengthen the competences of early-career researchers in independently managing R&D projects with implementation potential and to foster closer cooperation between science and business.
The first pilot edition consists of three phases:
- Phase I – Training and Mentoring: specialised training combined with mentoring by experts experienced in business and research commercialisation.
- Phase II – Project Implementation: participants who successfully complete Phase I will be eligible to apply for funding to carry out their own R&D project together with a research organisation.
- Phase III – Pre-implementation: additional support aimed at bringing successful project results closer to market and increasing their commercialisation potential.
The programme is particularly relevant for young researchers interested in developing project leadership, innovation and research commercialisation skills.
Application period for Phase I: 17 February – 17 March 2026.
