
The National Science Centre (NCN) has announced the GRIEG BIS call for research projects, financed under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2021–2028. The call is implemented within the Basic Research Programme, operated by NCN in cooperation with the Research Council of Norway (RCN) and the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannis).
The total budget of the GRIEG BIS call is €50 million. Funding is available for 36-month research projects implemented by international consortia. Projects must be led by a Polish research organisation and involve at least one partner from an EEA donor country: Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein. The Principal Investigator (PI) must hold at least a PhD degree at the time of proposal submission.
Priority areas
The call is open to all research fields and disciplines. However, each proposal must address challenges related to at least one of the following three priority areas:
- European green transition,
- democracy, the rule of law and human rights,
- social inclusion and resilience.
Application deadline
Proposals must be submitted electronically via the OSF submission system in accordance with the NCN proposal submission procedure.
