Boosting science-business collaboration channels for better technology transfer

A new funding opportunity has been announced to strengthen the cooperation between research institutions and businesses, with the goal of increasing the transfer of technologies from academia to industry. The Department of the European Regional Development Fund has just announced a call for proposals under Measure FEWM.01.03 – Technology Transfer.This initiative focuses on enhancing the potential and quality of services provided by Technology Transfer Centres (CTTs) andĀ aims to support both the creation of new collaboration channels and the reinforcement of existing ones.

Key Activities Eligible for Support Include:

  • Organizing events that bring together researchers and entrepreneurs
  • Developing new or improving existing CTT services, such as:
    • Technology transfer platforms and databases
    • Consultation points and support desks (e.g. innovation or technology brokers)
  • Building staff competencies and purchasing essential equipment to implement the newly developed or upgraded CTT services

Funding Details:

  • Co-financing rate: up to 85%
  • Maximum grant amount: 8,495,000 PLN
  • Application period: from 16 July 2025 (00:00) to 31 July 2025 (end of day)
  • Results announcement: January 2026
