What is the Rising Managers Academy?

The Rising Managers Academy (RMA) – Science Leaders Academy is an innovative initiative designed to support scientists in developing their leadership, management, and communication skills. Organized by the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn, RMA provides an educational platform where researchers learn to excel as leaders, innovators, and project managers.

Through this free course, participants will gain essential skills to:

  • Successfully submit grant applications.
  • Lead research teams effectively.
  • Communicate achievements to diverse audiences.

  • Employees of innovative companies and research-focused departments.

What’s on the Agenda?

RMA’s educational curriculum is designed based on the design thinking concept, combining theoretical and practical workshops. Participants will explore topics such as:

  • Team building and leadership.
  • Grant writing and project management.
  • Negotiation and pitching skills.

During the program, participants will tackle practical design challenges. From the research phase to prototype creation, the process culminates in preparing a grant application based on their solutions. These grant applications will then be presented to stakeholders in a pitching session.

Workshops will be conducted in Polish and English by experienced practitioners specializing in career management in the scientific sector.
